monday the california supreme court ruled that private religious charities with employees must offer birth control along with their medical prescription benefits, even though doing so violates religious principle.

the catholic church is the largest provider of birth control in the world. Yeru, 99% of catholics take a pragmatic view of this issue, as do the clergy. If they are forced to provide birth control to their workers this is NOT anything akin to forcing doctors to offer abortion, it is akin to forcing JW's to offer blood transfusions to their workers.
If any organisation doesn't want to play buy the rules and wants to force their workers to accept their internal rules then screw them, they shouldn't have public money.
Imagine the situation where external contractors were called in to work on a if their insurance did not provide for blood transfusions then they would be inflicting their moral standpoint on non dubs in the event of an accident. It is NOT ACCEPTABLE for any organisation to inflict their morals on anyone, be it their own members or not. People have the right to choose on a situation by situation basis whether they want to play by the organisational morals or not.

this is addictive and is made more difficult by the lack of feedback when you do some things. Has anyone managed to suss out the green wall? There has to be some geometric way of solving the puzzle but I cannot work it out, it's friday and my head hurts!

I beat it, it's the room where you need to rebuild the triangle to open the security lock. I'm now stuck on level 9 the alien spaceship room, I've entered the code into the computer but the door won't open - all I get is a picture of a room on the computer and the only active part of the picture is the door which leads to a picture of another room - the letters eh and da are on various elements of the room but I don't get it

I'm stuck on the room with the acme laser thingy. I have cut the triangle up and rebuilt it in the security panel(which is powered up but the bloody door is still locked! This is sooooo stressing me out!

so where is the code for the first door? I tried sticking the computer disk in the c64 and it was having none of it

Our Ginger and Rainbow Bridge.... :(

i have been remiss in posting any updates on my home situation, with my husbands health issues.

and now, another stressful event has occured, and our beloved "ginger" (three year old cat) will be put to sleep on the 29th.. hubby has been undergoing test after test, and meanwhile has been admitted to the hospital here twice.

the first time was related to the growth in his chest and his ventral hernia; the second time was due to a seriously infected cat bite.

We are trying to concentrate on what is going on with hubby's health and his upcoming surgery in the following weeks to come. "June" (our younger cat--a Tuxedo) is remarkable. She is giving us both so much love and attention. It's like "she knows" what we need.
Cats DO know. Spike (the littler of our two cats) always knows when Clare is ill and last month when she had a bad period Spike spent the whole time either sat on her lap or cuddled up to her tummy keeping her warm. Clare has been suffering from the after effects of glandular fever for the last year and every time her glands flare up Spike is always more clingy around her. When I'm ill he doesn't give a toss but there ya go.
